The Braids Brand was born from the creativity of our sister brand, Shibi’s Braids—a pioneer in braided wigs. Inspired by our deep love for braids and the desire to showcase their endless versatility, we decided to capture the artistry of African braiding techniques in a new way: through our handmade braided bags.
Launched on December 20, 2024, The Braids Brand transforms traditional braiding into wearable art—stylish, functional, and handmade leather bags that celebrate heritage and identity. Each bag is thoughtfully designed and crafted, blending rare fine prints with textured, unique leathers to create limited-edition handmade bags that stand out in any collection.
Location & Distribution
We are based in Lagos, Nigeria, with a distributor in Accra, Ghana. While we operate primarily as an online store for handmade bags, we are working toward opening a physical location in the near future to bring The Braids Brand experience even closer to you.
